Carbon fiber is preferred as it has the highest tensile strength of all reinforcing materials. The dry 3K 2x2 Twill Weave Fabric gives the traditional carbon fiber look and offers better drapability. Because of the weave and filaments per fiber the 3K twill weave offers a little more strength when compared to the tighter plain weave.
